Our Story

  Flying the Nest from Co. Fermanagh.

Chirpy Bird Food is one of those kitchen table stories. A business family owned and family run. Elise, Cameron, Georgie and Hamish are the third generation working in the seed industry.

"Our grandad learned to drive in the late 1940's by travelling throughout Northern Ireland buying grass seed direct from the few farmers who specialised in growing it. All the grass seed he bought he sold to small family farms. Our dad continued this business supplying seed and other agricultural products to agricultural merchants. 
We decided to do something a little different, we wanted to feed the birds and their cousins! In some ways very little has changed, when sourcing seed and feed we look for suppliers with a similar family ethos. We look for quality and sutainabilty. We are fortunate to work in beautiful Co Fermangh, sending Chirpy Bird Food all over Northern and Southern Ireland, and across to Fife in Scotland."
